Last one for tonight...yep, I'm going to subject you to some of my probably terrible poetry...written at several points in my life...enjoy or shake your head lol
The journey of a broken Heart
Two hearts
Each have seen joy, each have seen pain.
They unite, splitting a shield for protection
Together they fight, push through, prevail
Through these wars, the shield is damaged,
Yet, the hearts continue their journey together.
As time goes by, one heart branches off, taking the shield,
Leaving the other open to be destroyed.
